Why blog about your house? When we were first looking at this house, I imagined us recording the changes and upgrades so we could / can look back and see where we came from. That was the primary purpose of the blog. Then, ss time went on we found out that some of the history of our house. For example, it has some interesting history (how many houses had celebrities like Maya Angelou and Oprah Winfrey in them)? We also felt in our opinion that it was a unique and cool vacation type of home, which we love. You might say that is subjected to one’s opinion, and I agree. However, if you want to share a story you need to tell the tale or no-one will know. So that is our intention here.
This is our little story about our house. Along the way, we will talk about repairs, upgrades and WHY we are taking care of the various activities.

This house is located in a small town outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina in Lewisville, North Carolina. The original family property was somewhere near 1400 acres. Today this property is split up into 9 properties and homes. 3 of the owners are part of the original family. They are great people and we are lucky to have great neighbors. We do have a small homeowner association that takes care of the road, some lake items and costs for the field upfront.
