Like so many of our projects, we start with a priority of what needs to be done next. Over the many years, it ends up being a necessity as to why we take on a project…. for this one however I wanted to have the front door painted for my wife’s birthday. Not a real long post today, but really to document the color and color code we used.
We went to Home Depot, and Lowes Hardware to browse their color pallets. We ended going back to Home Depot as we found this blue that BEHR calls Caribe. This was one of the colors on our MCM (Mid-Century) color pallet – so we were good to go!

Caribe is a medium-dark cyan influenced by the warm waters of the Caribbean coastline, creating a fun effect with a dose of boldness.

Our door was not in horrible shape, but it did take some scraping and a little 3M like drill pad to clear up the surface, remove old paint to prep the surface.
Now that the door was ready to go, I simply rolled on the paint for several coats, with about 10 minutes in between. Re-attached the door knob and it looked GREAT!

In the end, this mini project worked out great and it was wrapped up just in time for guests!
